TCE x Arts + Entertainment || David Letterman Is Coming Out Of Retirement and Heading To Netflix

After two long years, former Late Night host, David Letterman, has signed on for a six episode series with streaming powerhouse Netflix, set to air in 2018. Letterman recently issued this statement:

"I feel excited and lucky to be working on this project for Netflix. Here's what I have learned: If you retire to spend more time with your family, check with your family first. Thanks for watching, drive safely."

Its safe to say the rest of us are feeling just as excited. The new show will leave behind the late night standard of multiple guests and opening monologue that we have grown to expect from Letterman, and will instead showcase one guest per episode in long interview format. The series has yet to be named.

Chief Content Officer, Ted Sarandos had plenty to say about Netflix's newest addition, "Just meeting David Letterman was a thrill; imagine how exciting it is for me to announce that we will be working together. David Letterman is a true television icon, and I can't wait to see him out in the wild, out from behind the desk and interviewing the people he finds most interesting."

We agree! Thank you Netflix!
